Matt Peterson - Head Golf Pro
Matt was born in northwestern Wisconsin and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Matt worked as a line cook at a golf course in La Crosse and that's where he started to play golf regularly at the age 18. Matt became assistant manager of a local all-weather driving range/restaurant where he worked until 2003. Matt then attended business school in La Crosse. In January of 2005 Matt moved to South Carolina to attend the San Diego Golf Academy (Myrtle Beach, SC Campus). In April of 2006 Matt graduated and become assistant golf pro right here at Bel-Mar. Matt spent his first two seasons at Bel-Mar working as assistant golf pro under the direction of Chris Spink. Matt then spent his third season working as assistant golf pro under the direction of Jim Robinson. In 2009 in his fourth season at Bel-Mar Matt will took over the reins as the head golf pro.

Matt is currently working though the PGA's Professional Golf Management Program to become a PGA Member. One of the hobbies that Matt enjoys as the weather begins to become unseasonable for golf is Hockey. Over the past few years Matt has enjoyed playing in hockey leagues and coaching youth hockey.
